Artist Statement

As a contemporary painter specializing in acrylic paint, I explore themes of photorealism, portraiture, colour psychology, and the exploration of memories. Through subtle details, textures, and emotional depth, I invite viewers to connect with each work through its unique contemporary form.

Artist Bio

Johnathan Dunslow, who was raised in Georgetown ON, is a contemporary Canadian artist based in the GTA. Having completed his BFA in Drawing and Painting at OCAD University, he hopes to continue building his portfolio of acrylic paintings. Continuing to work from personally-taken photograph references, he strives to transform them into a contemporary form of expression and narration.
