FASM Membership Application

FASM membership dues renew every January 1 unless you are a new member. Applications after October 1 will provide you with a membership for the remainder of the current year and the following year. Complete this application form each year, even if you are renewing.

1. All Family FASM Members must be minimum age 18 years old.

2. By checking off the Membership Agreement, you are answering for all Family Members.

3. While each one will be considered as an individual FASM Member, a Family Membership will include a maximum of 2 votes at all-members meetings.

Event Participation:

We have many events and opportunities for our members to meet with their peers, to increase their skill levels, to benefit from other artists' knowledge, and to experience and generally enhance their love of art.   We welcome non-artists to join FASM as well and participate in the "behind the scenes" activities.

FASM Membership Agreement:

• I agree to support the vision/ mission/ values of the Fine Arts Society of Milton (FASM).

• I agree to allow FASM to use images of my artwork, which I shared with FASM on the Artist Profile page, for use in digital and print material to promote my art, as well as FASM and its events.

Member Commitment:

• Treat people with respect and dignity

• Show a positive, respectful, and supportive attitude for the artwork of FASM members

• Foster an organizational environment that is engaged, productive, and motivating

• Protect the integrity and promote the public image of FASM and its members

• Volunteer and offer to assist in contributing to the viability of FASM as a volunteer-run not-for-profit (NFP) sustainable organization

• Participate in workshops and events, and attend Exhibition receptions when possible

• Complete the Artist Profile form on the Membership Directory section of the FASM website www.fasm.ca  if I want to promote my artwork.  A photo/avatar, bio, samples of my artwork, and contact information to be added, which may be used for Event or promotional materials

• Attend the Annual General Meeting

• Renew annual membership by January 1 each year

Member Termination:

In the rare instance when the Board has been made aware of pertinent information, the Board may terminate the membership of any member with at least fifteen days’ notice of termination with reasons explained. The member will be given an opportunity to be heard verbally or in writing not less than five days before the termination effective date.

A few examples of potential membership termination reasons include:

• Bullying, harassment, or violence/threat of violent behaviour or actions

• Discrimination or disrespectful behaviour or actions

• A member misrepresenting their art, especially related to an exhibition’s terms and conditions
