Artist Statement

While I have been painting for a few years, I am still discovering who I am as an artist. As life gets busy, I don’t get to pick up a brush as often as I would like, but there is a pull towards creating that I cannot ignore. My paintings convey colours and textures that reflect my emotions, and I am drawn to subjects that hold emotional value to me.

Artist Bio

Maheen is an emerging artist based in Milton, Ontario. A primarily self-taught, part-time painter, she works exclusively with oil paints and is drawn to contrasts and colours that evoke emotional depth. Her creative journey began in childhood when she sketched often, but she stepped away from art for many years as life took her in other directions. Returning to painting as an adult has become a meaningful way for her to reconnect with her childhood passion for creating.

She looks forward to discovering where her evolving artistic journey will lead.
