Painter (acrylic)

Artist Statement

Of all the ways the subconcious speaks to us, I have always found dreams to be the most intriguing. I feel it is evidence of something far beyond our understanding, something cosmic and extratemporal. When I was in my teens I began dream journaling, and I noticed the subconcious would start to produce increasingly vivid scenes and intricacies the more you paid attention. My fascination with dreams and their meanings grew so much that I made it a goal of mine to capture them visually.

The art I create is the most I can do to communicate the importance of the dream. I wish for everyone to bask in it, as it is all of ours. It is the love we share, it is the quietness of our soul.

Artist Bio

I have been drawing since I was a kid, always thinking up various fantastical scenes and creatures as a way to occupy myself. I didn't take up painting until I was about 25, when I found that I needed to graduate from using black markers and pencils to something a bit more versatile to really dive into my art. I taught myself how to better depict the ideas I could see in my imagination, and in doing so, allowed those ideas to grow organically, mix and multiply, creating something foreign yet familiar each time.
